Operating a business in Bengaluru involves a stack of registrations with different authorities and different renewal cycles: BBMP for the trade licence, the Labour Department for Shops & Establishments, the Commercial Taxes Department for professional tax, the Ministry of MSME for Udyam, the Income Tax Department for PAN/TAN, the Registrar of Companies for corporate entities, and the GST department. We handle the applications and the calendar.

Frequently asked questions
Is a BBMP trade licence mandatory for an office?
BBMP requires a trade licence for trades and activities listed under its bye-laws carried on within its limits — most commercial premises, including many offices, shops, clinics and food businesses. The category and fee depend on the activity and area. We confirm applicability for your premises.
Do I need Shops & Establishments registration if I have GST?
Yes; they are unrelated. Shops & Establishments is a Karnataka labour-law registration for commercial establishments and is required irrespective of GST status.
What is professional tax in Karnataka?
A state tax on professions, trades and employment: employers deduct it from employees above the salary threshold and remit it, and the business itself pays an annual enrolment tax. Registration and periodic returns are required.
Do I need to visit your office to start?
No. Most matters start with a call or WhatsApp and photographs of your documents. We meet at our Yeshwanthpur office or at the property when a physical inspection, signature or original document is needed.
How are your fees structured?
A fixed professional fee agreed before work starts, quoted after a free first assessment of your documents. Government fees, stamp duty and statutory charges are separate and paid to the authority. We do not quote a headline price for complex matters because the work depends on what the records show.
